We are clearly one of the most experienced tilt-up builders in the world. In the past 47 years we have built more than 1,000 structures using this method of construction, ranging in size from 2,500 to nearly 1,000,000 square feet. Many of these structures were warehouses, but other uses include office buildings, churches, retail centers, and manufacturing facilities. If it can be built with tilt-up, we have probably done it. We have won Tilt-up Achievement Awards for Outstanding Projects in 1993, 1995, and 2002, and have been active in the Tilt-up Concrete Association for many years. Our president, David P. Prizio, is past president of the association. Food Industry Work In the last 10 years, nearly half of our work has been with the food industry. We understand the specialized concerns of those who manufacture and distribute food, and have provided proven and successful solutions. From a tortilla factory in Fresno, to a bakery in Colton, to a food flavorings facility in Buena Park, we have worked with owners and general contractors to bring food-manufacturing plants to successful completion again and again. We know what needs to be done and how to work with the rest of the design-construction team to make it happen. If your food warehouse needs are limited to floor repairs, we have the expertise. If you need the construction of a huge distribution facility, we have solutions that fit your needs. We will work with you to develop facilities for freezers, cool storage, banana rooms, dry storage, conveyor systems, and anything else you might need. Although special floors are of great concern to many in the food industry, we address those concerns with a proven track record: We have placed over 1,000,000 square feet of concrete slabs using shrinkage-compensating cement. We have extensive experience with trap rock and other toppings that increase the durability of warehouse floors, and high F-numbers are no problem for our concrete crews. We know floors and have the track record to prove it. Structural Concrete Prizio has the experience and expertise to handle all kinds of foundation systems, including slabs, footings, caissons, and piles. If you need a loading dock, equipment pit, or silo foundation, we can do that too. Commercial concrete work is what we do.
